Let's Get Writing!
This term we are running a creative writing competition and have some fabulous prizes up for grabs! Children in both Maths and English are encouraged to write a short Narrative story based on their own zany ideas. Make it fun, sad or scary - it's up to you!
There are 3 age categories -
1. 5 - 7 year olds
2. 8 - 10 year olds
3. 11 years old and upwards.
All entries need to be in by Friday the 13th of August. The winning entries from each centre will be entered into the International competition. All winning entries will be able to be viewed online and everyone will be able to vote for their favourite piece of writing. The 3 overall winners in each category will then be judged by a panel of experts.

Hi, I'm Anna.
After graduating with an Education degree in Auckland, I spent 4 and a half years teaching in the schools. Since then, my family and I have relocated to sunny Brisbane and yes, I brought my wonderful kiwi accent with me!
I am so excited to now be part of the NumberWorks'nWords team. It is such a rewarding position being able to work individually with all the students and see such dramatic results! I'm looking forward to welcoming you and your child to NumberWorks'nWords!

Hi, I'm Wade. After graduating with a couple of degrees from QUT I moved south and spent six years enjoying the culture, getting married, working and studying yet another degree in Melbourne.
In 2004, my wife Claire and I returned to the sunshine of Brisbane to bring the fun back into learning for the kids around where we grew up in Chermside. We found the thrill and rewards so great at Chermside, that we opened another centre in Ashgrove in 2008 and took on the State Manager role for Queensland in 2010. In short, it is a job I am very passionate about and I just love to get out of bed each day to get into it!
We look forward to meeting with you and helping your children to enjoy learning the critical subjects of Maths and English.
